An atypical day in the UK. June and its raining, again. My partner and I are rushing to the lakeside hide that takes us across a corridor like platform to the hide. This hide has 2 guardians of the Grey Heron Variety

This Common Tern momentarily perched on a post in the lake not 20 mtrs from the hide I was sat in.

The lesser-black backed gull can be seen on farmland, wetlands and around the coast. It is a large, elegant gull, just a little smaller than the herring gull.
